5 Dishes That Make You Go “Wow!”

As a home cook, I’m enamored with trying different recipes and techniques that make my family and friends think I’m doing some Chef Ramsey meals. Nothing I cook is on that level. In fact, nothing I cook is on the level of these 5 dishes that made me go “Wow!”

I joined a couple of food communities over on Google+ when I got into this unknown cook thing. I wanted to learn as much about cooking as I wanted to show. I’ve learned far more than I’ve shown. For instance, in the Google+ community Food Photography, I’ve learned that capturing photos of my food dishes was much more involved than just whipping out my phone and snapping the picture. There are elements such as lighting, angles, and props that make the capture of the food much more intensive and visually appealing. The members of this community are extremely helpful when you need direction on a particular subject of food photography.

There is also a community simply named Cooking. Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the name. Members of this community construct food dishes that make you hungry even if you have just eaten. From exquisite and exotic salads to  mouth watering desserts [my favorite part of dinner] and everything in between, you are sure to find a recipe in this community to satisfy whatever your taste buds desire.

Below are 5 dishes I’ve seen over the past few days in these communities that I just can’t get out of my head. The photographs are linked to each of these awesome culinary artists’ Google+ page. Be sure to see their other food preparations. By the time you see them all, you just may say, “Wow!” too.
